My thoughts and rant-ish type thing on Ryuusei no Rockman/Shooting Star Rockman 3~

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I was excited about RnR3 when the teaser site first came out. The wallpaper really caught my attention and I just loved it all, with all the news pouring out. Then mid-way through, it didn't seem so great after all. Then some more news came out and I got excited again and so here I am.

Let's start with the beginning~
The teaser site was launched and it was great. There was all this news about this and that. Then some more wallpapers came out and the new Rockman looked great. Then the first set of Noise Changes came in, they were Cygnus, Ox, Gemini, Ophiuchus and Libra. Cygnus and Ox were the only good-looking ones. Looks determine a lot of stuff. Then news about this Black Ace form came out, and unlike everyone else, I didn't exactly like it. There was just something about it that I disliked...maybe because it looked Gundum-ish? So from there, I was disappointed with SSR3. Then the next set of Noise Changes came along. So now we have Cancer, Wolf, Corvus, Virgo, and Crown. From there, only Wolf, Cancer and Corvus were good. Still, I liked Cygnus the best. It's just something about that swan and his Quackey Lackies.

Then comes news about the other version...Red Joker! I love his color theme! Red! And well, he's just so much cooler! I guess it's my type of character, even though he is bulky.

I hate Acid Ace. I guess it's his Baryl-ness and I never like Baryl. Solo and Laplace are awesome. I'm glad to see that Gonta is getting into the fray. I'm glad to see Kizamaro finally getting some attention since he gets a wizard, now. I don't understand why there is a Ophiuchus Noise but no Ophiuchus Wizard! I'm so glad that there isn't a Harp Noise. Jack Corvus reminds me of Bly. The name "Queen Virgo" reminds me of Ophiuchus Queen.

The most exciting part of all this...the new pictures. I really like all the new pictures. To me that is.

I've counted up all the forms and there are 112 different forms in Ryuusei no Rockman 3! 10 Forms Outs, 10 Color Outs, 90 Merge Out, and 2 Finalize. Do the math.

The one thing that really got me was...

-Hornicouhi expressed his wishes to keep creating Shootig Star games once a year in an attempt to "reflect the players growth with the game's characters."

This got me really hyped up making me believe that SSR3 isn't the last!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So yeah, these are my thoughts, they weren't exactly well put together because that's what a rant is. So there we are. And remember...Turn the Noise Down

Trap Cards!
[3 comments]Posted on 10-14-2008 at 04:57 PM

First off, I know I haven't posted in forever. I have school and stuff to do. So shall we get started?

-----------------

Trap Cards I love these things and I have a bunch for my Competitive Battling Folder. Shall we talk about each?

Giga Mine These things are the best way to deflect a Giga Card. It does a load of damage to the opponent and gets rid of their card. It also hits those who have invincibility/are invisible.

Double Cross This is said to be the most used Trap Card in Competitive Battles. I've only seen it used twice on me, but nonetheless, has been used on me more than any other card. It takes the Mega Card that was about to be used by the opponent and lets you use it. The bonus here is that if your opponent was in Tribe King and was caught by this trap, the double damage is still in play, in your favor, too!

Poison Apple I personally don't use this, nor I never will, but it can be a very useful card because practically EVERYONE has a recovery card in their folder.

Anti-Sword
Best thing to use against people who use Rogue Forms! Anti-Sword hits twice and hits invisibility.

Spirit Fury
Spirit Fury is a Trap Card is is guaranteed to set off. It activates when the the opponent uses a Standard Card that has a element. (Fire, Elec, Wood, Aqua.) So it's perfect.

So basically what I'm telling you is...PUT IN MOAR TRAP CARDS!!! They are highly effective!

Like I said, I'm going to talk about how to effectively use Rouge Forms in Wi-Fi Battles!

Strategies

First off, what are the Pro's of Rouge Forms? It gives a +50 to Sword Cards? So now which onces are Sword Cards?
There's Scythe which will only work with Area Eater. Scythe hits 3 times and removes Aura's and Barrier's so it's the best thing to go with.

Fokx-Fu is another really good thing because it'll give you protection from an attack, has a primary and secondary element. The secondary element is sword so it gets an extra 50 Damage.

Now, there's also Berserk Sword. I know some will argue and say only Zerker Rouge should is it, but I don't think so. Sure Zerker Rouge has the ability to make a Train Combo out of them, sucking out the Side Effects but can you really charge them up when your having an intense battle on Wi-Fi? Think about it. It's obviously a sword so it also gets the extra damage.

For the rest of the cards, you'll want Trap Cards. Lot's of them. I'm known for my Trap Fetish. You'll also want Recovery. And if you're using the Wave Command Card to obtain Rouge Form, you can put in 2 Giga Cards. So what should those cards be? The 1st should definitely Dragon Sky GX which you'll have access to if you have Wave Command Cards. Dragon Sky GX because it gets rid of Aura's and Barrier's. The 2nd is up to you. I would personally use Avalanche, or Pegasus Magic GX because they freeze. So yeah.

If you still have some cards leftover, then fill it up with nice damaging cards and that have effects. Like Paralyzing and Freezing. Setting up Ice Stage and then using Sticky Rain on the opponent works well. You can always set up a Paralyze Stage and just hit then with some other card.

Next time: Trap Cards

First off, sorry I haven't posted in a long, long, long, time! Almost been a month, huh? Well, I've been somewhat busy and now that I'm in Soccer, my Saturday's are getting ruined, but anyway, let's move on to the third Game Symposium which I had promised would be about Rogue Forms.

What are these Rogue Forms you speak of?

Rogue Forms are special forms on which you can take on like Zerker, Ninja, Saurian, the Double Tribes and Tribe King. Rouge Forms can only be Zerker, Ninja and Saurian, though. The main color layout would be Purple and Black, the colors of Rogue!

There are two ways to achieve Rogue Form. The first would only need the game. You'd have to find the Indie Fragments and install them into your Brother Band. There are 6. Once you have Installed all 6 you will have Rogue Form unlocked. The other way is to use Wave Command Cards which is the method many prefer because that way you won't lose your Real Life Brothers. This method also maxes out your Buster Stats, gives you an extra 850 HP and allows you have one more Giga in your Folder. It also allows you to have two extra Mega's but that's pretty much useless to Rogue Forms.

So now...what are the extra abilities that Rogue Forms get?

First off, Rouge Forms don't have an element. They have the "sword" element giving all sword cards +50 Damage. All Rogue Form's Busters continue as to what they were as normal Tribe-Ons. And yes, Zerker Rogue's Charged is Elec Elemented and Saurian Rouge's is Fire.

All Rogue Forms have a 1HP Wave Barrier which is refreshed at the beginning of every turn. This has got to be the best of Rogue's ability. Rouge Forms can't be locked onto and have a Mega Attack done to them.

There are two setbacks for Rogue Forms. One, you can't use Mega Cards. The second is that you'd have a limited amount of Link Power to use. The max amount of Link Power that you can use is 400. The best use would be to fill up on HP.

So now why would anyone want to use Rogue Forms?

Rogue Forms are very useful for the competitive field. If you know what you're doing, then it can lead you to success.

Rogue Forms aren't very useful for regular play so note that.

And I think it's about time I closed up this Game Symposium. Next time, I'll talk about how to use Rogue Forms in battle.

P.S.
I'm looking for a Brother who is either Ninja or Zerker and gives over 100 Link Power. At least 120. You can find my information here

Today I talk about Double Tribe.

What is Double Tribe?

Double Tribe is where you use the power of a different Tribe by using a Brother Card, with a different Tribe to transform into something new. You must have already Tribed-On to be able to do this. And obviously, you can only do this in Star Force 2 as of now. Double Tribes, along with Triple Tribe can Time Freeze Counter with their Link Force Big Bang by tapping the Tribe symbol on the Touch Screen. The bad thing about this is that after performing the LFB they will revert back into Normal Mega Man.

There are 6 Double Tribes.

1. Zerker Saurian
Zerker Saurian still has the Sword of Zerker visible, he is red, and has Dinosaur Omega-Xis on his hand instead of Zerker Mega. His element his Fire so Zerker Saurian is weak to water attacks. His charged shot is Dino Cannon which is the element of Fire. The LFB is Vanishing Blazer which is basically what G Blazer does except now with the Elec element into it as well. His head's markings have Zerker's thunderbolts.

2. Zerker Ninja
Zerker Ninja has the Sword of Zerker visible, he is the color green, and has Ninja Mega on his left hand. The element is Wood, so his weakness is Fire. The charged shot is Shinobi Star, it is elementless. The LFB is Elemental Blade, which takes the first part of Thunder Bolt Blade and adds a Wood Cyclone to the end. His head's markings have Zerker's thunderbolts.

3. Saurian Zerker
Saurian Zerker doesn't have the Sword of Zerker visible and takes on Saurian's form. His color is grey, and has Zerker Mega on his left hand. The element is Elec, so his weakness is Wood. The charged shot is Thunder Slash which I find ironic because he doesn't exactly "have" the Sword of Zerker. That Charged Shot is Elec. The LFB is the same as Zerker Saurian, Vanishing Blazer. He continues with Saurian's horn and hair.

4. Saurian Ninja
Saurian Ninja is green, has the horn of Saurian and Ninja Mega's head on the left hand. Saurian Ninja is a Wood element and is weak to Fire. The charged shot is Shinobi Star which is elementless. The LFB is Emma Gale Garrison. This is similar to Demon Flurry. Mega Man makes two clones and starts shooting out two sets of Ninja Stars. The first time it's Fire based stars and then Wood based.

5. Ninja Zerker
Ninja Zerker is gray and looks like Ninja does, except has Zerker Mega's head on the left hand. The element is Elec and so he is weak to wood. This is the weirdest of Double Tribes because it's weak to it's original form. The charged shot is Thunder Slash, and is ironic just like Saurian Zerker because it doesn't physically have the Sword of Zerker! The LFB is the same as Zerker Ninja, Elemental Blade.

6. Ninja Saurian
Ninja Saurian is red and looks like Ninja did, except has Saurian Mega's head on the left hand. Saurian Mega's head makes all the difference on forms. The element is Fire so he is weak to water. The charged shot is Dino Cannon. Just like Saurian Ninja, the LFB is Emma Gale Garrison.

So now let's get our Double Tribe facts straight. Whatever the original tribe is, the Double Tribe stays in that form, but Double Tribe takes the second Tribe's color and Element along with the Charged Shot.

I hope this cleared up the confusion on Double Tribes that anyone may have had and I also hoped you learn that (for example) Zerker Ninja/Ninja Zerker are NOT the same. (Same applies to other Double Tribes like Saurian Ninja, Ninja Saurian and Saurian Zerker and Zerker Saurian.)

Next time I'll talk about Rouge Forms, until then
